Care & Tips
Lookingafteryourfragrance.
A few simple notes to help every candle, diffuser, melt and spray last longer and smell its best. Nothing complicated, just the small things that make a difference.
Candles
A little care on the first light keeps the burn even and the scent true to the last.
The first burn matters
Let the wax melt all the way to the edge before putting it out, usually two to three hours. It stops the candle tunnelling.
Trim the wick
To about five millimetres before each light, for a clean, steady flame and less smoke.
Mind the burn time
Keep each burn to around four hours, then let the candle cool fully before relighting.
Burn it safely
On a heat-safe surface, away from draughts, and never left unattended.
Know when to stop
Retire it once roughly one centimetre of wax remains.
Reed diffusers
Quiet, constant scent with almost nothing to do. A flip of the reeds now and then is all it asks.
Where to place it
Somewhere the air moves gently, away from direct sun, radiators and heat.
Turn the reeds
Once a week to refresh the fragrance. Fewer reeds is softer, more reeds is stronger.
Mind the oil
Keep it off polished or painted surfaces, and wash your hands if any touches your skin.
Protect the surface
Stand it on a coaster or small tray underneath.
Aroma melts
Our melts are a stronger, flame-free way to scent a room, and they fill it quickly.
How to use them
Warm one or two cubes in an electric or tea-light warmer. No flame is needed.
Nothing to burn
There is no wick to trim. The wax simply holds the scent as it warms.
Change the scent
When it fades, let the wax set, pop the cube out and add a fresh one.
Made to last
Each pack gives many hours of scent, so a little goes a long way.
Pure oils
A concentrated blend for an electric diffuser. A few drops is all it takes.
How to use them
Add three to five drops to the water in an electric diffuser. Start with a little, you can always add more.
Use the pipette
The glass pipette lets you measure a few drops at a time without overdoing it.
Mind the oil
Keep it off polished or painted surfaces, and wash your hands if any touches your skin.
Store it well
Cap it closed and keep it out of direct sun and heat to hold the fragrance.
Room sprays
An instant lift for a room, made to be kind to your home.
A light touch
A few mists into the air are enough to refresh a space in seconds.
Kind to your home
Non-staining and pet friendly, to use freely around the house.
Beyond the room
Lovely over linens and in the car too, though test a delicate fabric first.
Bath & body
Gentle, everyday care with the same considered fragrance.
A little goes far
A small amount lathers well, so there is no need to use a lot.
Keep it fresh
Store with the cap closed, away from direct heat.
A few general notes
Small habits that keep every fragrance at its best for longer.
Out of the light
Keep everything away from direct sun and heat, which can dull a fragrance over time.
Safety first
Store out of reach of children and pets.
