Find us at the Barras: our new Glasgow store

We have opened a second home in Glasgow. You will now find Muir & Me at the Barras, in the heart of the city's east end, a few steps from the famous market on the Gallowgate.

It is a place we have wanted to be for a long time. The Barras has been a Glasgow institution for generations, full of makers, traders and the kind of unhurried browsing that suits a shelf of hand-poured candles. Our new store sits right in the middle of it, at 244 Gallowgate.

What you will find in store

Everything we make is hand-poured by us in Glasgow, and the Barras store carries the full range. You can browse and smell our soy candles, reed diffusers, wax melts, room sprays and bath and body, all in one place. Our waterless pure oil diffuser, The Still, is there too, along with gifts and gift sets if you are shopping for someone else.

Because it is all made here, the people behind the counter are the people who poured it. If you want help choosing a scent, or you are curious about how something is made, just ask.

Shop by mood

Our fragrances are built around four moods: Unwind, Restore, Energise and Indulge. It is the simplest way we know to choose a scent, by how you want a room to feel rather than by a list of notes. You can explore the idea on our shop by mood page, and the same thinking runs through the store.

Two Glasgow homes

The Barras joins our original studio in the south side, where we still pour, blend and welcome visitors. Between the two, there is almost always somewhere to come and see us.

• The Studio: Unit 28, 147 Drakemire Drive, Glasgow G45 9EE. Open Monday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday 10am to 4pm, Wednesday 10.30am to 4pm, and Sunday 10am to 2pm.
